Job Details

Position Summary: To serve food and beverage items to guests in accordance with company service standards and applicable operational standards.

Essential Functions:

  • Full service bartending: full bar, serve drinks, make drinks and pour beer and wine.
  • Responsible for set-up and break down for catering events.
  • Greet guests at table and supplies guest with menus if necessary.
  • Communicates daily specials.
  • Receives drink orders from patrons.
  • Serves alcoholic beverages responsibly, requests identification, adheres to all company alcohol policies.
  • Provide attentive, professional and courteous table or buffet serices, based on event.
  • Responsible for knowing menu items.
  • Competent with wine selection.
  • Excellent customer service
  • Preforms other duties as assigned.

Non-Essential Functions:

  • Cleans table and prepares for next guests.
  • Make suggestions to management to improve service, or change menus.
  • Trains others on job duties and company procedures.

Education & Experience:

  • High school education
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a catering or banquet server in a luxury or high-end environment required, including buffet and individual table service. Additional experience in a service environment preferred.
  • WA state food handlers card.
  • Class 12 mast permit.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent guest service skills; ability to adhere to company service standards.
  • Ability to complete required pre-employment sanitation and alcohol service training.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple table assignments at one time.
  • Possess basic knowledge of standard drink recipes and alcohol brands.
  • Basic math skills; ability to accurately total guest checks and count change.
  • Ability to operate point-of-sale system to enter orders and prepare checks.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain on feet for entire length of shift.
  • Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching and repetitive motions.
  • Ability to maneuver between tables and around corners.
  • Ability to lift, balance and move large food trays, weighing up to 40 lbs.
  • ZVisual acuity and hearing sufficient to take orders and prepare bills. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds for set-up, service and clean up functions.
